Grandtour

 

The complete tour through the city of Faro consists of a 75 min ride in which we not only visit its most emblematic areas and historical heritage, but also other areas of the city giving the visitor a good perspective of the current reality of Faro.

We start the tour through the old town and during the tour we briefly describe the history of Faro, from the Phoenician period until the arrival of the Portuguese with D. Afonso III.

After the old town, we continue to explore the old part of Faro, formerly located within the sixteenth century fence (second wall around the city).

The rest of the tour is made alternating passages between old and modern areas of the city, all 12 Catholic churches of Faro are sighted, we visit the highest point of the city where Santo António do Alto tower is located, we pass through the municipal market and also head toards the city riverside park.
